BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Kimberly Jarvis, Ed.D.

Kim holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and has 10 years of experience in career counseling. She is a clinical social worker and a certified Career Management Fellow through the Institute of Career Certification International. During the last 10 years, Kim has coached thousands of individuals and has conducted hundreds of workshops on career and personal development topics. She is currently an Associate Director for the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business Career Services Office, serving part-time students and alumni. In her current role, Kim has developed and facilitated career-related programming for alumni, executive M.B.A. students, and evening and weekend students. She also provides individual career coaching to these three populations.

Prior to working for Chicago GSB, Kim was the National Director of Career Services for a 17-campus for profit higher education company. Kim has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign, a Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois, and a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She is actively involved in the field of career development, having served on the board of directors for the Association of Career Professionals International Chicago chapter, and as a founding member of Chicago Career Professionals' Network
